Materials

Three materials, thirty years of use

Every piece is cut, joined and upholstered by hand in the same workshop. Nothing is substituted: the oak, the wool and the brass are the materials we buy.

Oak

White oak, kiln dried and hand planed to a thickness that will not dent or cup for a decade.

Solid oak frame · 18 mm

Wool

Undyed wool in oatmeal, clay and grey, woven to a tight hand-stitch so the fabric holds its shape on the arm.

Lamp

Brass stem and woven paper shade, set so the light falls on the room and never on your eyes.

Nothing here is a rental lease. A piece bought from MØBEL is bought for thirty years, and if it ever stops working we will repair it rather than replace it.

Care

How a piece is cared for

A piece bought for thirty years needs a few rules to last that long. We write them down and hand them to you, with the workshop address and the phone number.

Clean the wool gently

Brush the weave with a soft cloth, never scrub the surface, and let it dry in the open air.

Keep the oak out of water

A damp floor and a hot radiator are the two enemies of a solid frame. Wipe dry, do not steam.
03

Send it back for repair

Worn wool, a loose joint or a bent leg comes back to the workshop and comes out better than before.
