Private volcanic island expedition
A private volcanic island, twelve guests each time, seven days on foot and under water. Hiking, diving and a geologist on board, and nothing in between.
Why twelve
By the time you are ready for this, the coastlines and the museums have been done twice. This trip is not another coastline. It is one island, and the whole week is spent on it.
The island is private, so the week is unhurried. Twelve guests, one guide, one geologist, one boat that keeps to itself.
Most of these guests have spent years on the coast, in the city, on a ski slope. They came for the same reason: something that does not repeat. The island is the only place on the programme that does.

Seven days
Day one. You walk the ash field before the island wakes up. The ridge is the shortest route to the summit, and the ash holds the whole week.
Day three. The lake is the one place the island is loud. You walk the shoreline, then go down with the dive lead to see what the water is carrying.
Day six. The geologist walks the ridge with you and hands over the samples. It is the longest walk of the week and the only one you finish standing.
Stage one01 / 03
On the island
Twelve seats, one island, and a small crew that knows the island better than anyone else on it. Nothing is booked in between.
One geologist walks the ridge with you and takes the samples at the three points the programme is built around. You get the samples and the story behind them.
The dive lead plans the dives with the geologist and knows the water better than the island does. Every dive is short enough to finish before the sun goes down.
Four people on the boat: two guides, a cook and a dive lead. Twelve guests means the whole week is yours, and nobody has to be waiting on the island.
Seven days on the island and four at sea. The boat carries the gear, the samples and the last meal of the trip, and the island is yours for all of it.
Every guest is told the route before the first morning, so the first day is a walk and not a scramble. The island is private, so the week is unhurried.
Reserve
Departs every other spring. Twelve guests, one island, and a week that ends with the last hour on the ridge.
